Queer Latin American Voices is a trilingual collection of brief texts and illustrations by Latin American LGBTQIA+ writers and artists. The collected texts, some published here for the first time, are accompanied by responses (essays, poems, experimental narratives) penned by queer academics in Spanish, English, or Portuguese. Throughout this volume, translations and visual art pieces expansively illuminate—rather than merely illustrate—written works. The book thus brings together a diverse range of voices that express different forms of queer being and becoming, in the hope that this multimodal gathering will prompt further opportunities for visibility, circulation, and collaboration. QLAV’s authors and contributors include: Evan Alterman, Luciany Aparecida, Femimutancia, Mariano Blatt, Tania Arabelle Flores, Rodrigo García Bonillas, Ioshua, Hilary Kaplan, Ekaterina Legaz, Daniel Link, Nancy Martínez, Robin Myers, Luis Negrón, Juan Esteban Plaza, Alberto Quintero, Dámaso Rabanal Gatica, Paulo Ramos, Oriana Seccia, Manuel Tzoc Bucup, Xavier Valcárcel, and Romina Wainberg.
